Help using Our WebsiteWe have tried to make our website as simple as possible for you to use, but we know that it's often reassuring to have some extra explanations about the things you can do and how to do them. We want to provide you with "Peace of Mind" both when browsing the site and when buying or renting homes. Villages InformationWe have details about a lot of villages in our region and have used a dynamic menu to display them all. This will not work if you haven't got javascript enabled on your browser (use Tools | Internet Options and then Advanced tab if you want to change that), so simply click on the Villages Information menu option to be presented with a series of links to all the villages on one page (in alphabetic order). If you are having any difficulties with the dynamic menus, try moving your mouse horizontally first and then vertically rather than moving diagonally (where the program detects that you've moved off the horizontal plane and decides that you've finished with that option, so it closes.)
What's the idea behind setting up a Community? It's all part of our peace of mind philosophy. Once you're in Bulgaria, you'll probably want to find new friends and integrate into your village life. We want to help you find people who will share your interests - even if it's only meeting for a meal or a drink. We welcome Bulgarians who might like to join, provided that they have a basic level of English initially. Then we can learn from each other and help to rebuild the sense of community spirit. It may also be that you'd like us to look for a village home for you while we're travelling around. This is why we invite you to provide us with details about you requirements when you register. We will then email you when we find suitable properties (and ONLY suitable ones that meet your requirements!). RSS Feeds (Syndication)Here's the Wikipedia definition of RSS: RSS is a family of web feed formats specified in XML (a generic specification for data formats) and used for Web syndication. RSS delivers its information as an XML file called an "RSS feed", "webfeed", "RSS stream", or "RSS channel". These RSS feeds provide a way for users to passively receive newly released content (such as text, web pages, sound files, or other media); this might be the full content itself or just a link to it, possibly with a summary or other metadata (data describing the content). So now that you're none the wiser - what exactly will RSS do for you and how? We provide an RSS feed from our home page to provide you with an easy way of learning about any new properties that we put on our website. If you want to use this RSS feed then you will need to have a mechanism that enables you to read it. One of the simplest ways to do this is to sign up for MyYahoo! and use their free service. To do this, just go to the Yahoo website, click on the button labelled "My Yahoo!" and sign up as a new user if you're not already a yahoo mail user. When you login to MyYahoo! you can then add our feed by clicking on the "add content" link, clicking on "add RSS by URL" and following the instructions that appear there (- our RSS feed symbol is located at the bottom of the right hand column, just in case you've not noticed it before). |
